TARZANA, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Two semi-trucks crashed on the 101 Freeway, forcing the closure of nearly all westbound lanes in Tarzana for hours Tuesday morning.
The incident happened around 4 a.m. at Tampa Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol's traffic log.
It's unclear what caused the crash, but one semi overturned and the other was left jackknifed as a result. AIR7 was over the scene where a load of cinder blocks were scattered across several lanes.
At one point, all westbound lanes were shut down as crews worked to clear the wreck. The rest remained closed for several more hours, snarling traffic in the area, before all lanes were eventually reopened.
