GRANADA HILLS, LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- A man was shot to death and another was wounded while they were seated Sunday morning in a parked car in Granada Hills, authorities said.

Officers responded around 1:45 a.m. to a report of a shooting near Yarmouth Avenue and Ludlow Street, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. They arrived to find two victims with gunshot wounds inside the vehicle.

A preliminary investigation indicated that two men, a 25-year-old in the driver's seat and a 29-year-old in the front passenger seat, "were inside the vehicle when the suspect approached on foot and fired multiple shots into the vehicle, striking both victims," the LAPD said in a statement.

Arriving paramedics pronounced the man in the front passenger seat dead at the scene, police said. His identity was not immediately released.

Emergency responders rushed the other shooting victim to a hospital, where he was listed in stable condition.

A third person, also seated inside the vehicle at the time of the shooting, was questioned and released, investigators said.

A description of the suspect was not available.
